Breaded Pork Liver – Slavonian Style

Breaded pork liver is a traditional Slavonian dish often prepared for special occasions. The liver is coated in breadcrumbs and fried until crispy, then served with onions and fresh bread.

Ingredients:

– 500 g (1 pound) pork liver

– 2 eggs

– Flour for coating

– Breadcrumbs for coating

– 1 onion, sliced into rings

– 2 garlic cloves, minced

– Salt and pepper

– Oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the liver: Slice the pork liver into thin pieces. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Bread the liver: Coat each piece of liver in flour, then dip it in beaten eggs, and finally coat it in breadcrumbs.
  3. Fry the liver: Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the breaded liver pieces for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Serve: Place the fried liver on paper towels to drain the excess oil. Serve with sliced onions and fresh bread.
